Have you heard the one about the journalist who suddenly decided in 2004 that she wanted to write jokes, wrote over a thousand in 12 months and then 21 years later decided to self-publish the ones that still made her laugh into a book?

OK, probably not the best joke you've ever heard but this is my latest "work in progress" and unlike all my other books, I've decided to bypass agents and publishers and go straight to self-publishing.
